So, I realized I have a newfound fascination with shores and beaches recently.

I went on a date with my beautiful fiancee last weekend and intended to take some pictures. But what I didn’t realize is how these portraits came out to be.

There has always been a niche for me that I felt that I needed to explore and experience first hand. Capturing photos of things that we pass by every day has always fascinated me and I have always wanted to stop my rushing life, take a couple of steps backward, and just take it all in, the surrounding environment, the small things that go by unnoticed. We live in perhaps one of the finest and most beautiful cities in the United States. And it’s really us that take San Diego for granted while the rest of the world wish they lived here.

That’s why I will continue to take advantage of every moment to capture moments like these ones…

And, of course, there is always room for creativity. Let your mind run wild and capture those moments when you’re at the peak of your craziness and imagination and the following is what you get…

Disneyland 2010 (Trip 1 of 4)

This topic is, by far, the most exciting and entertaining topic for me to talk about. This trip to Disneyland back in February was made possible by Costco and their $160 4-day 2-park admission to Disneyland (and California Adventures).

The first thing I noticed when we arrived to Disneyland at around 9 am was this horse. And it made me want to go on a carriage ride.

I want to own one of these 2-story buses one day. It would be fun to just drive this vehicle around in Rancho Bernardo.

Yeah, I challenged Megan to pull the sword out… She couldn’t do it!

I can say that “It’s A Small World” ride is one of our favorite rides at Disneyland.

You know, I’m not a big fan of taking pictures with Disney characters, but it wasn’t so bad when I actually did.

Oh, yeah, I saw this at the end of the Jungle Cruise ride. Never knew that Disneyland can offer “fancy dinner” and “constant entertainment” at “the Oasis”.

And there was no better way to end the day but to listen to David Wayne playing contemporary popular songs instrumentally.

I definitely cannot wait for our second trip to Disneyland in April!

The Tide Pools

Point Loma makes for a good photography location. One of the most fascinating locations I have personally been to is the tide pools. The ocean, over time, created crevices in the cliffs and the location became an attraction for San Diegans.

I must say that I am thankful that Megan introduced me to this place. And, of course, the photos you will see do not catch the full effect and the magic of this place.

Megan took this picture of me and, I must say, she did a good job.

In return, I wanted to capture the beauty of my fiancee

And as we were leaving the tide pools, the sun was setting behind the Pacific Ocean and Megan captured this inspirational photo.

Valentines 2010

We all know that “it’s the thought that counts”, but when it comes to Valentines, this thought somehow evolves into “it’s what you make that counts”. And I say this out of love for my fiancee, Megan Leigh Gahan.

Undoubtedly, she made some of the best hand-made gifts anyone can every think of. One thing she made was a card with a carved-out heart in it…

And along with the card, I received a book that allows any couple to sum up their relationship in a few options

Thanks to Megan, now I have a little more decor in my room aside from my bed and desk…
